Vinegar Creek Constituency: Press/Interviews

To see them play their high-energy live shows is to witness that special moment where all good acts with genre- monkeys on their back get down to the real business of making, not categorizing, music. It’s enough to make even the most jaded music critic forget all about the nerdy business of classification altogether.

"What a pleasure to have such a fine band in the World Cafe Performance Studio. They were outstanding!
Fine songs...excellent arrangements... I am truly impressed with Vinegar Creek Constituency!"

Gene Shay, "The Dean of American Folk DJs," host of The Folk Show on 88.5 WXPN Philadelphia

"Above all else, Vinegar Creek Constituency are masterful storytellers, in the tradition of American folk and country, but they continue to defy classification. Don’t Go Back in Time is the best representation to date of their particular amalgamation of various musical styles."

Their true American style is inspired by their ability to create original music that always sustains  a strong following both live and recorded.  With unique tunes like “Corn Husker’s Ball and “Procrastinator’s Blues,” call it what you will but foot stomping and knee slapping is reborn. We can't get enough of Vinegar Creek Constituency at McClearys.

They  kind of remind me of The Band in that the obvious picking ability of the band never overshadows the songs. Not a dog in the bunch (songwriting-wise), either.
